1.     Change Management

To apply a systematic approach for helping the individuals impacted by "the change" be successful by building support, addressing resistance and developing the required knowledge and ability to implement the change (managing the people side of the change)
Change management is the process, tools and techniques to manage the people side of change to achieve the required business outcome. change management incorporates the organizational tools that can be utilized to help individuals make successful personal transitions resulting in the adoption and realization of change.
Any change to processes, systems, organization structures and/or job roles will have a technical side and a people side. Project management and change management have evolved as disciplines to provide both the structure and the tools needed to manage and realize change successfully on the technical and people side.

2.     Types of Change
Operational Change -Operational change relates to new systems, procedures, structures or technology that will have an immediate effect on working arrangements within a part of the organization. But its impact on people can be more significant than broader strategic change and it has to be handled just as carefully.

Strategic Change -It is about moving to a future state that has been defined generally in terms of strategic vision and scope.Strategic change takes place within the context of the external competitive, economic and social environment, and the organization’s internal resources, capabilities, culture, structure Change Management and systems. Its successful implementation requires thorough analysis and understanding of these factors in the formulation and planning stages.

Transformation-Transnational change takes place when there are fundamental and comprehensive changes in structures, processes and behaviors that have a dramatic effect on the ways in which the organization functions.


3.     Why people resist change
With the rate of technological growth, global economy, environment, customer behavior change is now the normal. Same every organizations have to change their strategy and quickly agile meet competitive and the objectives. Organizational change does not come easy, however. Many organizational change efforts fail to reach their objectives due to failure of the change management. Therefore, change management is important elements of the organization.
People and organization always evaluate the benefit of the change , will the change help to achieve objectives or will change their life worse.

Reasons behind the resist of the change.
·         Loss of status or job security in the organization
·         Poorly aligned reward systems
·         Surprise and fear of the unknown
·         Peer pressure
·         Climate of mistrust
·         Organizational politics
·         Fear of failure
·         Faulty Implementation Approach (Lack of tact or poor timing)
